- What is Nailed It, and how does a scan work?
- Nailed It turns photos of a space into DIY project ideas, a materials list with the math shown, and a step-by-step plan. You upload two to four photos, the app reads the space (surfaces, features and rough dimensions), and you get ideas you can save, cost out and follow.
- What kinds of spaces can I scan?
- Rooms and the outside of the house: bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, basements, attics, garages, offices and laundry rooms, plus yards, gardens, driveways, walkways, patios, decks, sheds, fences and siding.
- How accurate are the measurements, materials and prices?
- They are estimates. Dimensions are read from your photos, so entering your own measurements gives the best result. Quantities carry a waste allowance, and prices are typical store ranges rather than quotes. Measure your space and check prices at your store before you buy anything.
- Can Nailed It tell if a wall is load-bearing, or find wiring and pipes?
- No. A photo cannot show what is inside a wall, and the app will not guess. Anything structural, electrical, plumbing or gas is flagged in the app with "Hire a licensed pro," and that flag means exactly what it says.
- What photos work best?
- Good light, the whole space in frame, and two to four angles. Stand back as far as you can, keep the phone level, turn the lights on rather than using a flash, and add a close-up of the floor or trim if the finish matters.
- Is my photo data private?
- Your photos are converted to JPEG and stripped of their location data before they are uploaded, and they are used only to build your project. You can delete your account and everything in it, photos included, from Settings whenever you want. Read the privacy policy
- Is it free, and what are beta seasons?
- Everything is free while a beta season is running: every account gets a monthly scan allowance and no feature is locked. Between seasons the app pauses while the next one is built, and you can join the list to hear when it opens. See plans and pricing
- How do I cancel Pro?
- Go to Settings, choose Manage or cancel subscription, and cancel in a few clicks. Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. If you need help, email contact@nailedit.gg. Contact the team
